Patrick Lineberry grew up in Greensboro and completed his undergraduate studies in International Relations summa cum laude at Appalachian State University in 2008.
Following graduation, he received a fully funded fellowship to study the integration of faith and vocation at Trinity Forum Academy. He then obtained his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013.
In law school, Patrick was an academic scholarship recipient, enrolled on the Dean’s List, president of the school’s Christian Legal Society chapter, and a Summer Legal Fellow at JusticeMatters, a faith-based organization based in Durham that provides legal assistance to immigrants and victims of human trafficking.
Upon passing the bar in 2013, he was a solo practitioner and worked in a number of areas, including civil rights litigation, estate planning, and nonprofit tax law.
In 2014, he accepted a clerkship with the Honorable Martha A. Geer on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
He joined Coltrane & Overfield, PLLC as an associate in October 2015.
Patrick and his wife, Gia, have one son, Ashley, and another one on the way. In addition to his family, he enjoys brewing beer, rock climbing, and legal philosophy and history.
